Hi Ana,

I just wanted to send a quick email to say thank you. I attended last year and I had my baby in July. I was the lady who had white coat syndrome and was frightened of having to come to hospital to have my baby. 

I’m happy to say that despite being 2 weeks overdue, (I refused induction at 40+12 but went in to labour the same day!) I was able to have my baby at home, and using hypnobirthing I was able to have her without any intervention, and only a couple of paracetamol; except for when I wasn’t allowed to push and they said to try the gas and air, which I promptly gave back. 

Hypnobirthing gave me the strength I needed to remain calm and in control of my birth. It honestly was one of the best experiences of my life! 

My midwives actually said that they’d never seen anyone making jokes in between contractions like I was. I felt completely in control the whole time. 

I now have a beautiful girl and I love telling people my positive birth story because it was such a revelation to me – everyone loves to tell a horror story, but I like to tell people of my one which was quite the opposite.
